Black Girls Deserve Love Stories

kimberlynfoster.substack.com

I had the best Valentine’s Day ever. I gave love, I received it, and, hopefully, I created space for Loving Community. I fully intend on making a paywall (sorry, it’s gonna be too personal to be public) video about this before the week is over, but fully giving myself over to the cheesiness of the white man’s commercial holidays has helped heal the profound sense of loneliness that marked my childhood and adolescence. I feel seen. I feel valued. I feel adored. And that’s opened up a new level of purpose and gratitude. These are real smiles.
